Feet Up Euro Trip - Day 3 From Nimes to Aix-les-bains

Image
My day began after a good and early night sleep. I rested very well and was aiming to get to the city of Grenoble where I would spend the night. Here you can see a picture of the hotel I spent the night on!. It was in the middle on no where, very very old though nice and warm. After my breakfast I decided to hit the road again and started moving heading to the north. Grenoble waws intended to be my final destination for the day. Although, after a couple hours of riding I found out that the journey was very pleasant and the view was falling into a mountain like landscape. Which, of course, I loved. Also, on my way, as I was going through the little town of Valreas I found an air show exhibition. They were performing jumps on para-gliders and flying around airplane model. Which made a very interesting lunch break!!!. After a good couple of hours I decide to continue with my journey and drove past Grenoble and arrived to the Lac do Bourget a BEAUTIFUL palce where I decided, instantly, to ...

Feet Up Euro Trip - Day 2 From Figueres to Nimes

Image
Well, after an early morning on the camping site I decided to go and visit the Dali museum in Figueres, was a very nice experience and would recomend it to anyone. You will need a few good ours to take a good look at the stuff inside. After Figueres I did a quick drive until Perpignan where I stopped for lunch. IT WAS MY VERY FIRST FRENCH MEAL!!.. and it was fantastic. Something I would always remember is this flan (custard like) made out of eggs. Tasted delicious, even better than the one my mum makes!!! SORRY MUM!!... After lunch I wasn't that enthusiastic on driving, so I rested a bit and then carried on. Here is some video of the driving, the day wasn't particularly beautiful, but driving just sets your mind on the right frequency. After a couple hours I reached Montpellier, which was BEAUTIFUL, but aparently there was some bikering Finally, after more driving I got to this little hotel, quite expensive but nice for a good night sleep.
