Let´s see the future at +Humanos in Barcelona!

Have a look on all the possibilities that our future can offer us! On the show of +Humanos in Barcelona our future will be represented through the discoveries of science, technology and the digital evolution.

The CCCB (Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona) presents one of the most interesting expositions of the season. You can have a look on how the future of human kind will be like, or what role could cyborgs, superhumans or clones can have. The question is: is it the evolution or the human extension that could form our future? What´s the meaning of human kind and what the upcoming centuries bring us?

The exposition +Humanos give you the chance to look beyond the limits of human body, humanity, sociality and search the answer for what´s ethically acceptable and what´s not. This exposition is being organized as the extension of a project presented in Science Gallery of Trinity College Dublin, in 2011. 

In total we can see the artworks of more than 50 artists and pioneers and get an insight of the different ways how our species can transform in the future - from assisted reproduction techniques and incipient experiments in synthetic biology to the possibility to perpetuate us through the digital realm. Every statement of the show is related, mediated and defined by new technological and scientific fields.

The exhibition separate 4 main topics:

• The increased capacities
• Meeting with extraterrestrials
• The design of environment
• Life in its own limits

Each topic will be represented by using work of arts, historical artifacts, videos, scientific investigations or commercial products.
