Best Christmas Markets of Barcelona in 2015
If you love
Christmas markets as much as we do, then you probably know that there are some
of them that everyone has to see at least once in their lifetime. It is the
same about the markets of Barcelona. In every December the squares fulfill with
artists and vendors and even more visitors to celebrate the season of Advent
together.
Among the
smaller, always-changing Christmas markets, Barcelona has its traditional ones
that come in every year in all their glory. The three most famous markets of
Barcelona are the Fira de Santa Llucia, the Fira de Nadal de Sagrada Familia and the Fira de Nadal de
Pedrables.
Fira de Santa Llucia (27th November – 23rd December)
Fira de Santa Llucia is
the biggest and most emblematic Christmas market of Barcelona, taking place
right next to the beautiful building of Chatedral. With its dozens of venders it´s
the perfect choice even if you are searching presents for your loved ones, or
only want take a walk or have something to eat.
It offers you various kinds
of shops, dishes and hand-made presents – and the indispensable doll to bring
you luck, the so called caganer. The funny little guy
Fira de Nadal de Sagrada Familia (27th November – 23rd December)
The breath taking Sagrada Familia becomes even
more beautiful in the winter time. In front of the building of Gaudí takes
places another emblematical Christmas market of Barcelona, the Fira de Nadal de
Sagrada Familia. Here you can find everything that you would need to decorate
your house for Christmas, or the perfect gifts to surprise your family and
friends.
Fira de Nadal de Pedralbes (29th November)
Fira de Nadal de
Pedralbes is a small fair in the beautiful environment of Monestir de
Pedralbes, which makes a good excuse to visit it. You will find every kind of hand-made
gifts and dishes on this market you would need, and every kind of activities to
entertain both children and adults.
