XXI Salón del Manga: Barcelona
At the end of October one of Barcelona’s more unusual events is back and it is sure to bring with it lots of culture, fans and MANGA. That’s right; the XXI Salón de Manga will be taking at the Fira Barcelona Montjuïc for a four day stretch of Japanese and Manga madness. There will be something to please everyone, from people interested in Japanese culture and cuisine to the more hardcore cosplayers and diehard manga fans. You can even learn about and get treated to a Kobido or Shiatsu massage! The event also welcomes some of the most famous people in the business for you to meet.
This well organized event will take up the whole of the venue with a variety of stalls and exhibitions. Some of these include cooking workshops and exhibitions on Japanese food, games, natural healing techniques and of course, manga. A dedicated meditation space is also included in the plans of the event along with an area for cosplayers. The event is famous within the manga and cosplay community and is the location for some competitive events such as a manga competition, an anime song competition and the World Cosplay Summit. Even if you do not take part yourself this is an opportunity to watch some of the best in the business exhibit their skills.
