A Taste of Spain: Flamenco Show in one of Barcelona’s Best Museums

No trip to Spain is complete without experiencing a Flamenco performance! For the rest of August through to the end of September the Museu Europeu d’Art Modern will be hosting Flamenco nights. Visitors can watch as Flamenco artists take to the floor and perform this mesmerising dance. The series of soirees are entitled 'A Taste of Spain': A fitting name as included in the admission price, along with the spectacular, is a glass of wine and tapas; giving the audience an authentic “taste of Spain”.

These evenings will encompass different elements of Spanish culture from food to wine and art to music: A common belief is that Flamenco refers to the actual dance; however it also refers to the music that accompanies the spectacular. The music is just as important as the dancing and this particular edition will be accompanied by a live band consisting of a guitarist, a singer and a musician playing the Cajón, which is a sort of drum like percussion instrument.

The setting for the concert is the MEAM museum which is a stunning modern art museum set in the heart of Barcelona’s gothic district. The museum in itself is something that any visitor to Barcelona should explore as it contains incredible collections of 20th and 21st century art. With your ticket to the Flamenco show, you can also visit the museum which will make your evening even more memorable.
