BARCELONA: Sala Montjuïc- Cinema and Music in the Castle Grounds
Come along to Sala Montjuïc on the 20th July for a night of music and cinema in the stunning setting of Montjuïc Castle.
This amazing venue is located at the summit of Montjuïc and provides visitors with beautiful views of the city. Starting the evening off is a jazz spectaular from Ruben Fernandez, Andreu Zaragoza and Zamak String which will then be followed by a locally produced, short film. Then finishing off the night and the main attraction, the beautifully shot, independent film; Francis Ha. The film will be accessible to a wider audience as the original English version is going to be screened with the addition of Spanish subtitles.
The programme for the evening is as follows:
20:45 - CONCERT Ruben Fernandez, Andreu Zaragoza and Zamak String Quartet (jazz) Concert by the well established duo of singer and guitarist Ruben Fernandez and Andreu Zaragoza, whose style continues to evolve as heard in their new album, Girassol. This album features a mix of pop, folk and jazz along with clear evidence of the duo´s originality and experimentational flair. For the concert at Montjuïc, they will be accompanied by Zamak String Quartet.

22:15 - FILM Frances Ha, Noah Baumbach, USA, 2012 Frances Ha Frances is a young woman who, despite being 27 years old, decides to fulfill her dream of becoming a dancer in a dance company in New York. She enjoys her live with youthful abandon but always seems to be on the edge of real success. Themes of youth, ambition, vitality, friendship and optimism; this beautifully written, black and white film should most definitely not be missed.
