The River Turia - Feetup Hostels

THE RIVER TURIA | HOSTELS VALENCIA

 

The River Turia is one of the best places to spend a sunny day in Valencia. My friend and I were amazed – it’s huge, it could take a whole day to see and check each and every corner of it, but I can only recommend it – it’s worth it! This park was a river not so long ago (30 years or so) and crosses the whole city of Valencia. It’s one of the biggest city parks I have ever seen in Europe.

 You can see that local people make the most of it, since it’s always busy – people jogging, skating, cycling, just having a walk, playing chest, mums and dads with children, people with the their dogs, friends playing football, whatsoever – all having a great time. There is a place for everyone.

 

 

At one extreme you’ve got the Bioparc, at the other one the City of Arts and Science, as well along the park you will find lots of museums - The Museum of Modern Arts, the Botanic Garden, the Fine Arts Museum, the Music Palace, the Fallero’s Museum (you can get to know a bit better the Valencian traditional celebrations) and many more.
