Free Beach Cinema in Barcelona (Cinema Lliure a la Platja)

Every Thursday and Sunday until the 16th of August on the St Sebastià beach you can enjoy a great line up of independent films screened for free. This is a fantastic opportunity to watch incredible films in a beautiful setting whilst meeting likeminded people. Here you can often find groups of cinema lovers sharing their opinions on the films and enjoying discussing their thoughts. The evening starts at 21:00 with live music, followed by a short film and then finally the main film will be screened with subtitles. The timing of the night is perfect for those who want to relax while watching the sun as it sets over Barcelona. DGTL Festival Barcelona

Electro lovers listen up! Once again Barcelona is treating us to a weekend of great music with the DGTL festival. This festival, which was originally based in Amsterdam, will come to the Parc del Forum on the 14th and 15th of August bringing with it an unmissable line up of internationally renowned artists; including Maceo Plex, Ben Klock and Âme. This hugely successful, progressive festival features around 40 acts across its three stages during the two days. If that isn’t enough for you, the festival also showcases unique art installations and innovative lighting which aim to enhance the guests’ experience. All of this for only 32,50€ for a day ticket or 59,50€ for complete access to all the action over the two days. This is a festival with great ethics, it promotes recycling and maintaining the environment and so offers the opportunity to volunteer collecting plastic and rubbish.
